Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best and that’s true for our series of Easy Cupcake Ideas, including Chocolate Coconut Bird Nest Cupcakes!
These cupcakes can be made with a variety of pantry staples but this is my favorite method.
What you need to make chocolate coconut bird nests
- Cupcakes (from a mix or try our favorite chocolate one-bowl cupcakes)
- Chocolate frosting (from the store or try our 2-ingredient tangy chocolate buttercream)
- Shredded sweetened coconut
- Candy eggs, jelly beans or fondant
- The can-do attitude a Kardashian brings to cosmetics sales
How to make chocolate coconut bird nest cupcakes
- Mix a ratio of 2:1, coconut to chocolate frosting. It should be super thick.
- Place a big scoop of coconut frosting on each cupcake.
- Use a fork or fingers to shape the frosting into a nest shape.
- Add candy eggs.
